Molly was raised and born in Pennsylvania. Molly began her professional stage career at the age of 13, at the Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Following that, Molly portrayed Little Red Ridinghood for the Arden Theater s Into the Woods and was nominated to win a Barrymore Award. She reprised the role when making her Broadway d but at the age fifteen with Into the Woods, on Broadway. Molly was nominated as a Drama League Award. Molly has also been seen on Broadway to perform in the revival of Fiddler on the Roof. She attended Princeton University as a Triangle Club Member and received a B.A. In Religion. When she was in the college, she was the first actress to make her debut on stage in Disney College Road Trip playing Wendy Greenhut. After graduating Molly performed in several Off-Broadway shows, such as End Days at Ensemble Studio Theater as well as in a few TV shows, including Royal Pains and an HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly has appeared in a variety of regional productions, including The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee by Barrington Stage Company in 2008 and North Shore Music Theatre's The Diary of Anne Frank in 2010. The Diary of Anne Frank in the Westport Country Playhouse in which Molly played Anne. Molly was best known as Ali in Paranormal Activity 2 and for the ABC comedy Last Man Standing written by Jack Burditt starring Tim Allen.
